About us
Culloden Painting Studio is a husband and wife run commission painting service for wargaming and display figures. Based in Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland, just a few miles from the Culloden Battlefield site, we have 30 years combined experience in painting miniatures from most periods, from antiquity to the second world war, to fantasy and science fiction. We have a special interest in the Jacobite Rebellions, and painting models to represent the '45 rebellion. Many formative years spent playing wargames in the Warhammer universes lend themselves to painting fantasy and science fiction miniatures too.
Our aim is to provide consistent high quality results to our clients' specifications. Paint schemes will be discussed and planned in advance, and progress pictures will be provided regularly during the commission period. Three levels of finish can be selected, each with increasing complexity of techniques and detail.
About the Commission Process
About the process
After opening lines of communication, we will agree upon the details of the commission, including construction, modelling supplies, paint scheme, level of detail, and basing requirements. We are happy to order models on behalf of clients, and will alternately accept delivery of models that clients have bought themselves. Please remember to contact us in advance of having models sent to us.
When your models arrive with us, you will be notified, and we will keep you updated with the process of your project at regular intervals via email with photos of your models. We welcome feedback at all stages of the commission to keep you confident that you will receive the models you want.
Once you have judged the project complete to your satisfaction, final payment will be taken and the models sent out to their new home.
