What do you paint? We consider commissions to paint just about every miniature, gaming piece or display piece at any scale from 6mm (1/300) to 54mm (1/32). Commissions from any historical period are welcomed, as are fantasy or science fiction miniatures. For further details of what we do please see the Services & Prices tab.
-
Can you build my models for me?Yes. We will prepare and construct models from kits before painting for clients. One piece models do not incur a fee for preparation. Infantry models with more parts will be constructed at rates from £0.75 per model. Vehicle kits will be constructed at rates starting at 50% of the kit's RRP. Please see the Services & Prices tab for more details on the additional services we provide.
-
Do you strip and repaint models? We will consider stripping paint from metal models only, and would discuss a fee for doing so when negotiating the commission.
-
Can you paint a specific uniform/camouflage pattern/tartan?If provided with source imagery to work from we will attempt to replicate a particular pattern to the best of our abilities. Some patterns may be too intricate to replicate and we would agree a compromise in the planning stage before proceeding in this case.
-
What's the Large/Elite Infantry category? Some infantry models are more detailed than others and take extra time to paint. A Napoleonic figure in uniform would be in this category, while a Napoleonic figure in a greatcoat would be in the Infantry category. Some manufacturers make models that are very big despite being nominially of a specific size. Victrix vikings are bigger than Gripping Beast despite both being marketed at 28mm for example.
-
How much does it cost?Prices for painting models vary depending on the scale of the model and level of finish required. Typically, larger models with more details to pick out will take longer than smaller figures with little detail, and therefore costs are higher for this sort of commission. Please see our Services & Prices page for more information.
-
Can I mix the level of finish within my commission?Yes. We are happy to paint models at a mix of levels within a commission, and even within squads or batallions. For example, if you wished an officer to be painted at a higher level of finish than the infantry around them.
-
Will you send me updates on my commission?Yes. We will regularly update you with pictures of your models as the project proceeds.
-
How long will it take for you to finish my commission? It will take roughly 1 week to complete a Standard Detail finish on a battalion of 24x 28mm infantry. High Detail and Display Detail will take roughly 2 times and 3 times longer to complete.
-
How do I pay?You can pay either via bank transfer or paypal. Once the cost of the commission has been calculated we will invoice you for a 50% deposit (plus the cost of models and materials if you wish us to source them). At the completion of the commission a second invoice will be sent for the remainder of the balance. Once paid, the models will be shipped to you with appropriate insurance. Please see the Terms and Conditions.
-
How much will delivery cost?Within the UK we will send packages via Royal Mail Special Delivery or Parcelforce Express24 with insurance appropriate to the value of the commission. Overseas buyers will have packages sent Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed or Parcelforce Global Express, again with appropriate insurance. The cost of delivery will be added to the final cost of your commission. For further information please download the current price guide PDFs from the Royal Mail and the Parcelforce websites. We recommend that clients use these delivery methods when sending models to us to insure themselves against damage or loss. Overseas buyers should be aware that they will be liable to pay any customs charges on their commission.
-
What happens to leftover components? You are welcome to request all leftover modelling components including sprues be returned to you along with your finished models. Equally, we will happily dispose of any unwanted parts.

Are you taking commissions currently? We are fortunate to have lots of commissions on the go at any one time generally speaking. This means that we often close the diary to new bookings to let us concentrate on our projects at hand. The best place to check to see if we are open for bookings is our News page.
